On July 30, 2024, Ms. Isabella Wangari Mwangi marked a significant academic achievement by successfully defending her PhD thesis in Economics. Her groundbreaking research, titled “The Impact of Power Sector Reforms on Efficiency, Access, and Household Welfare in Kenya,” provides valuable insights into how power sector reforms have influenced various dimensions of socio-economic welfare in Kenya.
The departmental staff with other stakeholders participated in tree growing and planting efforts in Naivasha after their week long stakeholder engagement Curriculum review workshop.
The stakeholders involved in the workshop included,
1. African Economic Research Consortium (AERC)
2. The National Treasury and Economic Planning (NTEP)
3. The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA)
4. PROPEL Health (Palladium)
5. Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR)
