Department of Economics and Development Studies emerges position 15 in the UON Performance Appraisal Ranking

The Department of Economics and Development Studies was ranked position 15 in the financial year 2022/2023 performance appraisal ranking. This was an improvement from position 41 in the preceding year.

DEDS Chairman, Dr. Martine Oleche attributes the improvement to efforts put in by all the staff in the department. He expresses his sincere gratitude to both the teaching and administrative staff for their selfless service and great support towards achieving the core mandates of the department.

During the award ceremony two staff in the Department also emerged as best staff in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This confirms that the Department is the best amongst its peers.

The two staff were:

  1. Prof. Tabitha Kiriti-Ng’ang’a – Teaching staff
  2. Mr. David Wanjui – Administrative Staff.

The Department congratulates the two staff for their awards of excellent performance and encourages them to continue with the great achievement.
