Online Information Session about Graduate Studies at the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI)

The UoN Department of Economics and Development studies in partnership with CERGE-EI has organized an information session aimed at sensitizing students about graduate courses at CERGE-EI (MA in Economic Research and PhD in Economics).

This is aimed at increasing future opportunities, enhancing global networks and linkages for our economics studentship and connecting to our alumni. It shall also serve as an opportunity to mentor students on soft skills and preparation for life after campus.

The session will be held online on 13th February 2023 at 3.00 pm EAT (1.00 pm CET).

Speaker: Winnie Njoroge

Bio

Winnie Njoroge is currently undertaking a PhD in Economics at the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute (CERGE-EI), Czech Republic. She holds an M.A in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi. Prior to joining CERGE-EI, Winnie worked as a researcher at Kirinyaga Investment and Development Authority (KIDA) and as a research assistant at Utafiti International Limited. She also worked at Equity Bank (K) Limited in different capacities. Her research orientation is environmental economics, development economics, and experimental economics.
