Monday, March, 21, 2016, a team from the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) the body that funds collaborative PhD and Masters programs, sent a team of advisory board to evaluate the School of Economics and its readiness to be a host-degree awarding University.

African Economic Research Consortium facilitates curriculum development and joint enforcement of standards. As the enforcing agency, AERC is responsible for all resource mobilization, grant and contractual arrangements for the collaborators.

Association of North America Higher Education International (ANAHEI) is organizing Global Young Leadership Academy (GYLA) in August 2016 in Sarasota, Florida, USA. This is a summit designed for young leaders to sharpen their leadership skills while they learn and practice English and immerse into American culture. In addition, it will introduce the participants to the top class universities in Florida such as University of Florida. The program will take place in the summer of 2016 and will take four weeks in Florida. GYLA is open to students who are 15 or older.
