Hikmet Gunay is a Professor at the University of Manitoba, Canada; a Distinguished Professor at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, China; and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Nairobi. He holds a PhD in Economics, and MSc in Mathematics from the University of Iowa. He specializes in Industrial Organization, Game Theory, and Microeconomics. His research includes social learning among consumers and firms, and auctions.
His research papers have been published in journals such as Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Corporate Finance, Economic Theory, International Journal of Industrial Organization, and Review of International Economics. His research has been funded by many organizations such as the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Dr. Gunay is a popular teacher as evidenced by his teaching evaluations.
